About the role
A 10-week Wells Fargo Technology Internship for aspiring software engineers, offering hands-on experience with production-aligned projects, modern development practices, AI-enabled workflows, cloud applications, APIs, data engineering, and enterprise platforms. Interns receive training, mentorship, and networking, with potential consideration for the following year’s full-time Technology Analyst Program.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications, enhancements, bug fixes, and services across enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate in Agile Scrum or Kanban teams to deliver secure, maintainable, high-quality code.
- Use enterprise-approved AI tools for testing, coding, documentation, refactoring, prototyping, and developer productivity.
- Review and govern AI-generated code with senior engineers against architecture, risk, security, and confidentiality standards.
- Build APIs, microservices, cloud applications, data models, pipelines, reusable frameworks, and distributed-system solutions.
- Partner with architecture, product, and platform teams; explore AI/ML capabilities aligned with MRM and regulatory requirements.
Technology Environment
- Languages and frameworks include Java, .NET Core, Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Angular.
- Platforms include OpenShift, Azure, Google Cloud, APIs, and microservices.
- Data technologies include SQL, MongoDB, data pipelines, and analytics tools.
- Tools include GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, AI-assisted development tools, TensorFlow, NumPy, and Pandas.
Training And Progression
- Participate in structured training, mentorship, and networking with senior technology leaders.
- Gain exposure to real-world engineering, modern software development, and enterprise-scale technology practices.
- Qualified interns may be considered for the following year’s full-time Technology Analyst Program in the same market.
Work Arrangement
- The internship requires onsite presence under a hybrid work schedule.
- Locations include Charlotte, Irving, Iselin, Phoenix or Chandler, and St. Louis.
- Location placement depends on business needs; future analyst placement aligns with the internship location.
- Candidates must be authorized to work for any United States employer without current or future visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- Required: Six or more months of work experience or equivalent experience through training, military experience, or education.
- Required: Pass the technology skills assessment and meet the hybrid onsite work expectation.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s student in computer science, computer engineering, or related STEM field, graduating December 2027–June 2028.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Java, Python, .NET, SQL, cloud technologies, algorithms, data structures, and API development.
- Preferred: SDLC or engineering internship experience, plus exposure to AI tools, prompt engineering, and responsible AI.
- Preferred: Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, initiative, curiosity, learning interest, and extracurricular enrichment involvement.
