About the role
The 10-week 2027 Investment Banking Summer Associate Program at Wells Fargo is designed for MBA students between their first and second year. Participants gain hands-on experience in investment banking through client engagements, training, and mentorship in San Francisco or Los Angeles.
Program Responsibilities
- Build valuation models and support transaction execution.
- Conduct company and industry research.
- Prepare client materials and pitch presentations.
- Participate in diligence sessions, client meetings, and internal discussions.
- Collaborate with senior bankers on engagements across sectors and geographies.
- Contribute to analyses and deliverables supporting client engagements.

Candidate Requirements
- 2+ years of investment banking experience or equivalent.
- MBA expected graduation between Dec 2027 and June 2028.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Leadership or involvement in professional or academic initiatives.
Licensing and Compliance
- FINRA registration for SIE, Series 63 (or 66), and Series 79 required within 90 days of hire.
- Position subject to FINRA background screening and ongoing regulatory obligations.
- Employees must adhere to Wells Fargo risk and compliance policies.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary approximately $175,000 in CA locations.
- Pay range $150,000 to $250,000 depending on experience and location.
