About the role
The 2027 Global Payments & Liquidity Internship at Wells Fargo is a 10-week program offering hands-on experience in payments and liquidity solutions. Interns gain exposure to sales or product management, develop professional skills, and engage with senior leaders in locations including Minneapolis and Charlotte.
Program Overview
- 10-week internship focused on Global Payments & Liquidity business areas.
- Provides working capital solutions to clients from small businesses to large corporates.
- Includes on-the-job experience, formal training, and senior leader exposure.
- Promotes professional development and business skills growth.
- Interns may be placed in sales or product management roles.
Internship Responsibilities
- Participate in sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and executing payments & liquidity transactions.
- Conduct due diligence and analyze financial statements for recommendations.
- Leverage market, industry, and company research to support business development.
- Assist with compliance and risk management tasks.
- Support deliverables, issue resolution, and business initiatives communications.
Sales Placement
- Support sales teams in managing financial operations solutions.
- Learn end-to-end sales process including portfolio management and proposal development.
- Collaborate with internal partners to drive client-facing success.
Product Placement
- Manage payment and liquidity products including P&L and growth strategy.
- Engage in new product design, risk and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with sales to drive product growth and profitability.
Requirements
- 6+ months of work experience or equivalent through work, training, military, or education.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with graduation between Dec 2027 and May/June 2028.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required.
- Interest or experience in finance, accounting, and sales.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage projects, support product delivery, and apply risk controls.
Program Details
- Duration: 10 weeks, June to August 2027.
- Locations: Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte, NC; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA.
- Hourly pay ranges from $36.06 to $43.27 depending on location.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
