About the role

The 2027 Global Payments & Liquidity Internship at Wells Fargo is a 10-week program offering hands-on experience in payments and liquidity solutions. Interns gain exposure to sales or product management, develop professional skills, and engage with senior leaders in New York and other locations.

Program Overview

Internship Responsibilities

  • Participate in sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and executing payments and liquidity transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence and analyze financial statements for recommendations.
  • Leverage market, industry, and company research to support business development.
  • Assist with compliance and risk management tasks.
  • Support deliverables, issue resolution, and communication with stakeholders.

Placement Options

  • Sales: Support sales teams in client-facing roles, portfolio management, and proposal development.
  • Product: Manage payment and liquidity products including P&L, growth strategy, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with sales to drive product growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of work experience or equivalent through work, training, military, or education.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and May/June 2028.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Interest or experience in finance, accounting, and sales.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage projects, support product delivery, and apply risk controls.

Program Details

  • Duration: 10 weeks, June to August 2027.
  • Locations: New York, NY; Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; San Francisco, CA.
  • Hourly pay ranges from $36.06 to $43.27 depending on location.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
