About the role

The 2027 APAC Markets Summer Analyst internship in Hong Kong offers a 10-week program exposing students to financial markets, sales, and trading. Participants support teams in credit trading, fixed income sales, and more, gaining practical experience in market analysis and client engagement.

Programme Overview

• 10-week internship starting late June 2027 in Hong Kong.
• Exposure to institutional client risk management and market operations.
• Work with Credit Trading, Fixed Income Sales, and Repo Trading teams.
• Engage in pricing, execution, and market analysis activities.
• Includes classroom training and networking opportunities.

Markets Teams

• Macro (Foreign Exchange & Rates) Sales and Trading.
• Fixed Income Sales and Trading.
• Structured Product Groups (SPG).

Responsibilities

• Support sales and trading teams with client and market analysis.
• Prepare market updates, research notes, and presentations.
• Monitor market trends, risks, and trade ideas.
• Contribute to desk initiatives and client strategy discussions.
• Build familiarity with products, pricing, execution, and risk management.

Requirements

• Penultimate year undergraduate graduating between Jan and Jun 2028.
• Demonstrable interest in finance and financial markets.
• Record of academic excellence.
• Fluency in English for effective communication across geographies.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of an additional Asian language beneficial.
• Engaging, collaborative, organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and solve analytical problems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
