Role Responsibilities

  • Build relationships across business and support functions to support strategic priorities.
  • Work with journalists by pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and responding to enquiries.
  • Assist with media events and communications activities promoting UBS's expertise.
  • Contribute ideas for media opportunities and creative communications campaigns.
  • Support media strategy development and execution, focusing on Global Research.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports and insights for stakeholders.

Team Environment

  • Work within UBS's Investment Bank and UK Media Relations team in London.
  • Team responsible for global media activities for the Investment Bank and UK businesses.
  • Focus on accurate, timely, and engaging communication.
  • Support business leaders as trusted advisors.

Candidate Requirements

  • Graduating by February 2027.
  • Strong interest in media, communications, financial markets, and investment industry.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organised with ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Keen interest in current affairs and news agenda.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to explain complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and curiosity about media engagement and reputation management.
  • Experience or interest in responsible use of AI and technology to improve outcomes.
  • Work experience in press or communications roles is welcomed but not essential.
