About the role

Join UBS's 10-week 2027 Summer Internship in Asset Management AI Transformation. Build AI applications to improve workflows, collaborate globally, and gain hands-on experience in generative AI techniques.

Role Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents to automate and enhance workflows across UBS.
• Apply generative AI techniques like prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, MCP, LangGraph.
• Map and redesign business workflows around AI agents to improve outcomes.
• Use no-code, low-code, and pro-code platforms for AI agent development.
• Iterate on agent quality through testing and refinement.
• Collaborate with product, business, and platform teams to deploy AI solutions.

Team Environment

• Work within the Chief Transformation Office supporting AI for Asset Management.
• Develop standardized AI tools and platforms used firm-wide.
• Operate as part of a global team aligned with UBS’s key business areas.
• Based in Chicago or New York City with global colleague connections.

Candidate Requirements

• Graduating between Dec 2027 and June 2028 with GPA 3.2+.
• Pursuing degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, AI, or related field.
• Strong understanding of generative AI building blocks and agent-first thinking.
• Programming fundamentals in Python and experience with APIs and AI frameworks.
• Responsible AI mindset including security, data quality, and human oversight.
• Creative, strategic thinker with strong communication and collaboration skills.
