About the role

UBS’s 36-month Financial Advisor Development Program in Charlotte prepares upcoming and recent graduates for wealth-management careers serving Emerging Affluent clients. Participants receive structured training, build client relationships, support operational activities, provide financial advice, and work toward required securities licenses and the CFP designation through tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Build and deepen client relationships by delivering exceptional service, advice, and holistic financial experiences.
• Answer client calls, manage appointments, and complete assigned outreach promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate across the firm to resolve inquiries, follow up, and own client requests through completion.
• Support front- and back-office operational activities while learning how the firm serves clients.
• Conduct discovery conversations, use digital planning tools, and provide advice on portfolios, asset allocation, and investments.
• Understand and follow regulatory, compliance, and operational procedures protecting clients.

Team

• The UBS Wealth Advice Center serves Emerging Affluent clients through relationship-based service delivered primarily by phone.
• The team supports more than 200,000 clients nationwide with over 400 Financial Advisors and Team Associates.
• Employees must remain in the Wealth Advice Center for at least three years before internal transfer eligibility.

Program and Training

• The paid program provides professional and technical training in financial planning, markets, products, banking, and wealth management.
• Development workshops include interactive training, live client interactions, and ongoing learning with experienced leaders.
• Participants work toward Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA licenses and the Certified Financial Planner designation.
• The program supports career advancement and internal mobility within UBS after the required commitment period.
