About the role
Join UBS's software localization team in Zurich as a French-language translation specialist supporting digital banking experiences. The role combines translation, terminology management, localization, and language technology, working with UX writers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Translate English and German content into clear, natural French for digital banking products.
- Help maintain consistent voice, tone, and terminology across multilingual digital products.
- Develop and manage the multilingual terminology database with language and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with UX writers, localization professionals, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Explore CAT tools, AI tools, terminology extraction, validation, and other language technologies.
- Spend approximately 50% of the role translating and 40% managing terminology.
Team
- Join UBS's Zurich-based software localization team, helping make digital banking products accessible across languages and markets.
Requirements
- Complete at least four bachelor's degree semesters and graduate within six months of applying, with a relevant degree preferred.
- Achieve a minimum GPA of 4.5 under the Swiss grading system.
- Be a native French speaker with excellent English and German skills.
- Demonstrate strong localization, editing, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Have experience with CAT tools and AI-powered language tools, and an interest in terminology management.
- Show interest in financial services and the ability to work under demanding deadlines.
Additional Skills
- Additional Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, or Chinese language skills are advantageous.
- Programming skills are advantageous.
- Evidence of experimental and responsible AI use to improve outcomes and efficiency is valued.
