About the role

Join UBS's 2026 Off-cycle Internship in Global Wealth Management Risk. Support risk analysis, process improvement, and strategic projects while developing industry knowledge and professional skills over 9 months in Zurich.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support GFIW Business Risk Review & Risk Intelligence Team in analyzing complex client groups.
  • Detect needs and implement solutions to improve or create processes.
  • Assist in day-to-day project management activities.
  • Contribute to effective risk framework design and operation.
  • Collaborate on strategic projects to enhance client experience and engagement.
  • Attend educational events led by senior leaders for business insight.

Team Overview

  • Work within Global Wealth Management in Zurich serving ultra-high net worth clients.
  • Join the Review & Risk Intelligence team focusing on complex client risk analysis.
  • Team uses innovative solutions and provides expert risk advice.
  • Interns are regularly hosted with strong talent retention post-internship.
  • Engage with top industry talent managing client wealth globally.

Candidate Requirements

  • Completed at least 4 semesters of bachelor's degree or graduated within 6 months.
  • Preferred fields: business, finance, economics, STEM or similar.
  • Excellent English skills; additional major languages a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable with all colleague levels.
  • Autonomous, diligent, detail-oriented work style with good analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; quick learner of IT software.

Preferred Skills

  • Programming knowledge in VBA, R, or Python is a plus.
  • Experience or internships in Compliance, Risk Management, or Legal roles preferred.
  • Values: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated, collaborative.
  • Strategic thinker motivated by high demands and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to demonstrate responsible AI use to improve outcomes and efficiency.
