About the role
Six-month internship with UBS France’s Mid-Cap M&A team, supporting origination and execution of acquisition and divestment mandates. The role covers market analysis, pitch preparation, financial valuation, information memorandums, and buyer research for transactions involving family-owned groups, entrepreneurs, and private equity funds.
Responsibilities
- Analyse market trends, competitive structures, and relevant sector dynamics.
- Support preparation of pitch materials to win new mandates.
- Conduct financial analyses and company valuations using DCF and comparable-company methods.
- Contribute to drafting information memorandums.
- Research and identify potential acquirers for transaction mandates.
Team
- Join UBS France’s approximately 15-person Mid-Cap M&A team.
- The team completes approximately 10 transactions annually, valued between €15 million and €400 million.
- Clients primarily include family-owned groups, entrepreneurs, and private equity funds.
Requirements
- Currently studying at a Grande École de commerce or in a specialised finance master’s programme.
- Strong financial knowledge and excellent written and synthesis skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Prior Corporate Finance experience.
- Very good English proficiency.
Eligibility
- Hold a valid university internship agreement covering the entire internship period.
- Be available for six months and remain an active student.
- Have authorisation to work in France.
