Internship - UBS M&A mid-market (Corporate Advisory Group)

About the role

This internship supports UBS’s Corporate Advisory Group in Italy, focusing on mid-market M&A, ECM, and Debt Advisory for family-owned companies. You will develop financial analysis, valuation, business planning, and transaction-marketing skills while using research databases and UBS resources, supported by a tutor and experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and reclassify financial statements for corporate advisory activities.
• Perform company valuations and contribute to business planning exercises.
• Draft teasers, information memorandums, pitches, and related transaction materials.
• Support origination and execution of M&A, ECM, and Debt Advisory mandates.
• Use financial databases and applications, including Mergermarket, Aida, Bloomberg, Lince, and Factiva.

Team and Training

• Join the Corporate Advisory Group’s mid-market team, focusing on family-owned companies.
• Receive ongoing support from a tutor and qualified personnel throughout the training course.
• Access UBS resources, including equity research and industry teams.

Requirements

• Background in economics, finance, business administration, or management engineering.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible, open-minded, and collaborative approach.
• Independent, accurate, and detail-oriented working method.
• Good Microsoft Office knowledge and ability to learn new information technology products quickly.
• Fluent English.
