About the role

Six-month paid internship in UBS’s Corporate and Institutional Clients business in Lugano, supporting relationship managers and corporate banking specialists. The role provides exposure to client onboarding, transactions, company research, portfolio reviews, business analysis, risk and compliance processes, and integrated corporate, financing, real estate and cash-management solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support relationship managers with client meetings, presentations and follow-up documentation.
  • Assist client onboarding and account maintenance by collecting information and checking documentation.
  • Support payments, financing and other banking transactions under appropriate supervision.
  • Research companies, industries and the Ticino market to identify client needs and opportunities.
  • Prepare portfolio reviews, pipeline updates and basic business analyses using internal tools and data.
  • Maintain accurate client records and coordinate with risk, compliance, data-protection and specialist teams.

Team and Exposure

  • Join the Corporate Clients team in Ticino, supporting entrepreneurs, SMEs and large corporate clients.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Banking, Credit Risk, Client Services, Real Estate and product specialist teams.
  • Gain understanding of corporate client offerings, industry, culture and strategy.
  • Work with relationship managers and specialists across financing, real estate, cash management and investment solutions.
  • Interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders in Italian and English.

Requirements

  • Complete at least four semesters of a bachelor’s degree and graduate no longer than six months ago.
  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 4.5 under the Swiss grading system.
  • Demonstrate how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency.
  • Be proficient in English and possess strong communication and strategic-thinking skills.
  • Be hardworking, trustworthy, dedicated, collaborative and motivated by demanding work and tight deadlines.

Program Details

  • Start date is February 2027.
