About the role
An 18-month graduate program in Geneva supporting Commodity Trade Finance for international trading companies. You will assist relationship managers, structure financing opportunities, assess risks, monitor financed commodity flows, contribute to sustainability projects, and develop expertise through training, networking, and potential rotations.
Responsibilities
- Support relationship managers with client visits, events, transactions, and ongoing relationship management.
- Identify and structure financing opportunities while onboarding clients to develop the Commodity Trade Finance franchise.
- Analyze risks and prepare credit requests for submission to the Credit Risk Department.
- Monitor commodity flows financed by the bank within the Transactional Collateral Management Team.
- Contribute to transversal projects covering sustainability and transition strategy.
Team
- Work primarily within the Commodity Trade Finance Energy team in Geneva.
- Support Business Management on specific projects.
- Serve international trading companies based in Switzerland and abroad.
- Join a Commodity Trade Finance team of more than 100 experienced professionals.
Program Details
- The Graduate Talent Program lasts 18 months.
- The program starts in February 2027.
- Initial training covers the firm, professional and technical skills, and corporate and institutional clients.
- Learn from colleagues, develop skills, build your network, and potentially participate in one or more rotations.
Requirements
- Recent graduate who completed all degree requirements by the program start date, with graduation within the previous 24 months.
- No more than two years of full-time work experience.
- Competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 under the Swiss grading system.
- Experience and good knowledge of the commodity trading industry.
- Strong analytical, communication, and strategic-thinking skills, with interest in finance, risk assessment, and geopolitics.
- Motivated to work under high demands and tight deadlines; able to demonstrate responsible, experimental AI use.
