About the role

Internship within UBS’s Global Liquidity and Funding Controlling team in Pune, supporting NSFR regulatory reporting, liquidity and funding metrics, management information, stakeholder queries, and periodic reporting. The role also involves exploring AI tools to improve legacy processes and offers experience in financial and regulatory reporting, controls, and banking business analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with producing, reviewing, and analysing liquidity and funding metrics, primarily the net stable funding ratio.
• Prepare reports for regulators and internal management information.
• Investigate and respond to stakeholder queries about reporting deliverables.
• Support monthly and quarterly reporting processes.
• Explore AI solutions, including Copilot and internal UBS tools, to improve legacy processes.

Team and Environment

• Join the Liquidity and Funding Controlling team in Pune within the Group Controlling organization.
• Support global financial close processes and internal, regulatory, and external financial reporting.
• Contribute to reporting accuracy, internal controls, compliance, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
• Work in an international, inclusive, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets and numbers.
• Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of balance sheet concepts.
• Basic understanding of liquidity risk.
• Curiosity about banking businesses, including investment banking, wealth management, P&C, and Treasury.
• Open-minded, flexible, and able to solve problems and challenge constructively.
• Interest in continuous improvement and understanding products traded across banking divisions.
