About the role

The 2028 Graduate Talent Program places graduates in UBS Investment Bank’s Global Banking business in Tokyo. You will support coverage, advisory, capital markets and financing solutions, gaining exposure to M&A, equities, debt capital markets and structured products. Training includes UBS Discovery, technical development, personal development and potential rotations across desks and business areas.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about capital markets from capital raising through disposal.
  • Contribute to M&A advice and execution, including takeovers, spinoffs, joint ventures and takeover defense.
  • Interact with equities teams to understand investor views and market trends.
  • Develop familiarity with debt capital markets, including corporate and emerging-market bonds.
  • Analyze complex situations and develop strategies supporting clients’ objectives.

Team

  • Work in the Investment Bank’s Global Banking business.
  • Collaborate with country and sector coverage teams and product teams.
  • Support corporate, financial institution and sponsor clients with coverage, advisory, capital markets and financing solutions.

Eligibility and Skills

  • Graduate from a university or graduate school in Japan between June 2027 and July 2028.
  • Applicants may study any subject.
  • Demonstrate analytical decision-making, planning, organization and communication skills in Japanese.
  • Show initiative, persistence, teamwork and the ability to generate ideas.
