About the role

Full-time software engineering campus role in London at Two Sigma, a quantitative investment management and trading firm. Engineers design and implement scalable technology supporting data exploration, quantitative strategies, trading systems, and corporate productivity. Students join a general Software Engineering role and are matched with a specific team 2–3 months before starting.

Responsibilities

• Build distributed storage infrastructure and public and private cloud environments used across engineering teams.
• Ensure the reliability of mission-critical products and systems, including the main trading system.
• Develop tools and environments for testing and deploying quantitative strategies and models.
• Build and maintain low-latency, high-performance infrastructure and systems responsible for executing trades.
• Build and scale infrastructure that ingests data from more than 10,000 sources daily.
• Partner with Corporate teams to develop productivity and efficiency tools, systems, and products.

Role Structure

• Students are hired into a general Software Engineering role before being matched with a specific team.
• Team matching takes place two to three months before the start date.
