About the role
Two Sigma offers a 10-week summer internship for MS and PhD students in AI research, focusing on machine learning applications in financial data analysis.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop techniques and infrastructure for specific projects under team guidance.
- Write code and use AI/ML tools to run experiments and analyze financial data.
- Collaborate with team members to discuss approaches and results.
- Improve understanding of financial data's impact on complex systems.
Candidate Requirements
- Pursuing MS with work experience or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM.
- Strong Python programming skills; familiarity with Rust/Java is a plus.
- Experience with TensorFlow and/or PyTorch deep learning frameworks.
- Internship or work experience with Deep Learning, LLMs, or Reinforcement Learning.
- Experience handling large noisy data pipelines preferred.
- Relevant research experience with publications is a plus (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
Additional Qualifications
- Basic statistics understanding.
- Experience with cloud computing and multi-machine setups.
- Curiosity about financial data modeling in a collaborative environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Weekly base pay: $5,000 (MS) to $5,500 (PhD) depending on degree.
- Potential eligibility for bonuses, health, dental, wellness plans, and 401(k).
