About the role
Software engineering internship in New York supporting electronic trading infrastructure at a quantitative trading firm. Interns may optimize low-latency systems, build data pipelines and trading systems, and develop automation solutions. The role suits students in computer science or related fields with programming, database, Linux, problem-solving, communication, and financial-markets knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Optimize systems through network and systems programming and other techniques to minimize latency.
- Design, build, and use systems to collect, analyze, and visualize large datasets.
- Build data pipelines capturing reference and market data for fast, accessible retrieval.
- Develop trading systems supporting algorithmic trading.
- Create AI-assisted automation solutions and products to improve trading operations.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in computer science or a related field.
- Demonstrate strong programming concepts and object-oriented programming knowledge.
- Know at least one listed development language, including C++, Golang, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Rust.
- Have knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and Linux.
- Bring strong problem-solving and communication skills, plus an interest in financial markets.
