About the role

Join Standard Chartered’s M&A Advisory Group on a two-year graduate programme in London. Gain exposure to live mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and capital-raising transactions while developing analytical, commercial and communication skills alongside experienced bankers in a global, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Research industries and analyse companies to support M&A advisory assignments.
• Contribute to client presentations, transaction analysis and deal execution.
• Work alongside experienced bankers, coverage partners and product groups.
• Support clients navigating complex strategic decisions and growth opportunities.

Programme

• Gain hands-on experience and contribute to meaningful work from the first day.
• Develop technical, commercial and professional capabilities through practical experience.
• Build relationships with colleagues and clients across markets, products and functions.
• Receive structured development, mentoring and continuous learning opportunities.

Eligibility and timeline

• Be in your final year of study and graduate by July 2027.
• Have permanent legal right to work in the country where you apply.
• Assessment centres begin from October 2026 onwards.
• The programme starts in July 2027.
• Only one application may be submitted within a six-month period.
