Join Standard Chartered's 10-week Coverage Banking Internship in London, gaining hands-on experience with global corporates and financial institutions. Develop commercial, analytical, and relationship skills in a client-facing Corporate & Investment Banking environment.

Internship Overview

  • 10-week summer internship starting June 2027 in London.
  • Work alongside experienced bankers in Corporate & Investment Banking.
  • Support client relationships, business development, and transaction execution.
  • Gain exposure to cross-border business and global clients.
  • Develop commercial, analytical, and relationship-building skills.

Teams and Responsibilities

  • Corporate Coverage: support multinational and local corporates with financing and capital markets.
  • Financial Institutions Coverage: assist banks, insurers, asset managers with financing and risk management.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: support research, analysis, and deal execution on landmark transactions.
  • Engage in client relationship management and strategic client engagement.
  • Work on real projects with meaningful responsibilities from day one.
  • Learn how long-term client relationships are developed and managed.

Candidate Requirements

  • Penultimate year student eligible to intern in June 2027 and start full-time July 2028.
  • Permanent legal right to work in the UK required.
  • Strong ownership, initiative, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, stay curious, and seek growth opportunities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across cultures.
  • Commercial curiosity and interest in clients, industries, and global markets.
