About the role
Two-year graduate opportunity in Standard Chartered’s M&A Advisory Group, supporting live mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and capital-raising transactions. Graduates research industries, analyse companies, contribute to client presentations and support deal execution while developing analytical, commercial and communication skills in a global Corporate & Investment Banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Research industries and analyse companies to support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings.
- Contribute to client presentations and support transaction execution alongside experienced bankers.
- Work with coverage partners and other product groups across the M&A Advisory Group.
- Gain exposure to live deals and help clients navigate complex decisions and growth opportunities.
Programme and Development
- Complete a two-year graduate programme combining meaningful work, structured development, mentoring and practical experience.
- Build technical, commercial and professional capabilities relevant to a long-term banking career.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients across markets, products and functions.
- Develop understanding of clients, markets and the wider Corporate & Investment Banking business.
Requirements
- Be in the final year of study and graduate by July 2027.
- Have permanent legal right to work in the country where you apply.

Key Dates and Application Information
- Assessment centres begin from October 2026 onwards.
- The programme starts in July 2027.
- Submit only one application within a six-month period.
