About the role
The 10-week Wealth & Retail Banking Summer Internship in Dubai is for UAE-national penultimate-year students available from June 2027 and able to start full time in July 2028. Interns tackle real business challenges, gain exposure to clients, products and international teams, and receive structured development, mentoring and senior-leader learning.
Programme Experience
- Work on real business challenges and meaningful projects from the start.
- Gain exposure to banking products, clients and Standard Chartered’s international network.
- Develop technical, professional and behavioural skills through structured programme support.
- Receive guidance from managers, mentors and buddies, with opportunities to learn from senior leaders.
- Participate in community and volunteering initiatives.
Potential Teams
- Affluent Banking supports personal, premium, priority, priority private and private banking clients.
- Wealth Solutions focuses on building, managing and protecting clients’ wealth.
- Digital Banking uses data and next-generation technology to deliver personalised banking solutions.
- Bancassurance Performance and Analytics applies data, artificial intelligence and analytics to enhance performance.
Development and Timeline
- Complete a structured induction and orientation at the beginning of the internship.
- Assessment centres take place from October 2026 onwards.
- The internship starts in June 2027 and lasts 10 weeks.
- Eligible candidates should be able to start full time in July 2028.
