About the role

A 10-week summer internship in Standard Chartered’s Wealth & Retail Banking business in Dubai. Interns work on real business challenges, gain exposure to affluent banking, wealth solutions, digital banking, and bancassurance analytics, and develop technical, professional, and behavioural skills with support from managers, mentors, buddies, and senior leaders.

Programme

• Complete a 10-week summer internship starting in June 2027.
• Work on real business challenges with meaningful responsibilities from the beginning.
• Gain exposure to products, clients, and Standard Chartered’s international network.
• Develop technical, professional, and behavioural skills through practical experience.
• Receive support from managers, mentors, and buddies, plus access to senior leaders and industry experts.

• Affluent Banking supports wealth growth for personal, premium, priority, priority private, and private banking clients.
• Wealth Solutions builds, manages, and protects clients’ wealth.
• Digital Banking uses data and next-generation technology to deliver personalised banking solutions.
• Bancassurance Performance and Analytics applies data, artificial intelligence, and analytics to enhance business performance.

Eligibility

• Open to penultimate-year students from all degree disciplines and backgrounds.
• Candidates must be able to complete the internship in June 2027.
• Candidates must be able to start full-time employment in July 2028.
• Applicants must have permanent legal work rights in the country of application.
• For the UAE opportunity, applications are limited to UAE nationals.
• Only one application may be submitted within a six-month period.

Key Dates

• Assessment centres begin from October 2026 onwards.
• Internship start date is June 2027.
• Expected full-time start date is July 2028.
