About the role

Join Standard Chartered’s Bond Syndication team in Hong Kong for a 10-week summer internship supporting issuers and investors across global debt capital markets. Gain exposure to market analysis, pricing, transaction execution and investor engagement while developing commercial, analytical and client-facing skills through real projects and structured support.

Responsibilities

• Support bond transactions across market analysis, pricing, execution and investor engagement.
• Work with corporates, financial institutions, sovereigns and public sector organisations.
• Help clients access funding, manage capital and navigate changing market conditions.
• Contribute to financing solutions supporting clients’ growth, investment and strategic objectives.

Programme and Development

• Complete a 10-week summer internship working on real business challenges and projects.
• Receive structured induction, orientation, technical, professional and behavioural skills development.
• Gain exposure to products, clients and Standard Chartered’s international network.
• Receive support from managers, mentors and buddies, with opportunities to learn from senior leaders.

Requirements

• Be a penultimate-year student from any degree discipline or educational background.
• Be available to intern in June 2027; India-based interns start in April 2027.
• Be available to start full time in July 2028.
• Have permanent legal rights to work in the country of application.
• Demonstrate initiative, critical thinking, problem-solving, curiosity and willingness to learn.
• Build relationships, collaborate effectively and perform under pressure in fast-paced environments.

Key Dates and Conditions

• Assessment centres begin from October 2026 onwards.
• The Hong Kong internship starts in June 2027.
• Only one application may be submitted within a six-month period.
