Coverage Banking Internship Programme Korea 2027

About the role

A 10-week Coverage Banking internship in Seoul supporting corporate and financial institution clients. Interns will work with experienced bankers on client relationships, business development and transaction execution, gaining exposure to financing, transaction banking, capital markets, cross-border business and Standard Chartered’s international network.

Role and Placement

• Support client relationships, business development activities and transaction execution across Coverage Banking teams.
• Corporate Coverage supports multinational corporations, local corporates and mid-market clients.
• Financial Institutions Coverage supports banks, insurers, asset managers, sovereign entities and other financial institutions.
• Gain exposure to financing solutions, transaction banking, capital markets and strategic client engagement.

Development and Training

• Complete a 10-week summer internship involving real business challenges, projects and meaningful responsibilities.
• Receive structured induction, orientation, technical, professional and behavioural skills development.
• Gain exposure to products, clients, international markets and the Bank’s global network.
• Receive support from managers, mentors and buddies, with opportunities to learn from senior leaders and industry experts.

Requirements

• Be a penultimate-year student able to intern in June 2027 and start full time in July 2028.
• Have permanent legal right to work in the country where you apply.
