Join Standard Chartered's 10-week Coverage Banking Internship in Beijing, supporting global corporates and financial institutions. Gain hands-on experience in client relationships, financing solutions, and M&A transactions within Corporate & Investment Banking.

Programme Details

  • 10-week summer internship starting June 2027 in Beijing.

Teams and Responsibilities

  • Corporate Coverage: Support multinational and local corporate client relationships.
  • Financial Institutions Coverage: Assist banks, insurers, asset managers, and sovereign entities.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Support research, analysis, and deal execution.
  • Engage in financing solutions, transaction banking, and capital markets activities.
  • Learn client relationship development and strategic engagement.
  • Work alongside experienced bankers across global franchise.

Candidate Requirements

  • Penultimate year student eligible to intern June 2027 and start full-time July 2028.
  • Permanent legal right to work in China required.
  • Strong ownership, initiative, and critical thinking skills.
  • Curious, quick learner with commercial interest in clients and markets.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across cultures.
  • Ability to adapt and perform in fast-paced environments.

  • Assessment centres begin October 2026 onwards.
  • Only one application allowed every six months.
  • Internship start date: June 2027.
  • Full-time start date: July 2028.
