About the role

Join as a Junior Discretionary Trader working with senior traders to manage portfolios, execute trades, and develop trading strategies across multiple asset classes. Gain hands-on experience in risk management, portfolio monitoring, and collaboration with quantitative researchers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist senior traders with daily portfolio monitoring, maintenance, and hedging.
  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers to evaluate new trading opportunities.
  • Generate PnL tracking and attribution reports based on trade ideas.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and produce risk reports.
  • Hedge books and allocate hedges appropriately.
  • Execute complex trades that cannot be automated due to liquidity or complexity.

Required Qualifications

  • Recent or soon-to-be graduate with relevant coursework or experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or related fields like Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science.
  • Strong communication skills for global collaboration.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Programming skills essential, preferably Python.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Minimum base salary $150,000 if located in New York.
  • Eligible for discretionary bonuses, potentially significant portion of total compensation.
