Desk Quant Analyst

About the role

Join as a Desk Quant Analyst to support trading and research activities using quantitative skills in programming and data analysis. Collaborate with researchers and traders across global offices.

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve trading tools, analytics, and production processes.
• Clean, analyze, and manage large datasets for research and production.
• Monitor live and historical trading activities and investigate issues.
• Conduct post-trade analysis and reconciliation.
• Collaborate closely with Quantitative Researchers, Traders, and investment teams.
• Work on projects to enhance trading infrastructure and operational efficiency.

Typical Day

• Check data and processes readiness before market open.
• Monitor trading activity and production systems during market hours.
• Investigate and resolve any issues arising during trading.
• Engage in longer-term projects to improve analytics and data quality.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related quantitative discipline.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., C++, Java, Python).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple regions.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Nice to Have Skills

• Knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with Q/KDB+ database technology.
• Understanding of financial markets.
• Advanced quantitative skills.
