About the role
Full-time Junior Software Engineer role focused on infrastructure, systems, and ML platforms. Work with experienced engineers on production ML/HPC infrastructure, gaining mentorship and technical ownership.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for ML training and inference.
- Develop and improve workflow orchestration and infrastructure components.
- Analyze and improve system performance and scalability.
- Enhance reliability, observability, and usability of ML/HPC platforms.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to translate requirements into solutions.
- Contribute production-quality code supporting research and trading workloads.

- Strong mentorship and technical guidance from experienced engineers.
- Gradual ownership of meaningful systems and components.
- Exposure to real-world performance, scalability, and reliability challenges.
- Learn existing systems and contribute independently to ongoing work.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong foundations in computer science: algorithms, data structures, OS, distributed systems.
- Experience in software development with Python, C++, or Rust.
- Familiarity with writing, testing, and maintaining production-quality code.
- Effective communication and clear technical reasoning skills.
- Interest in infrastructure, performance, and large-scale systems.
Additional Skills and Experience
- Exposure to machine learning workflows, data engineering, or ML platforms.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Introductory knowledge of distributed systems, HPC, or cloud platforms for CPU/GPU workloads.
- Experience with profiling, benchmarking, or performance analysis.
- Nice to have: familiarity with CUDA or other GPU development frameworks.
Compensation and Benefits
- Minimum base salary $150,000 in New York, subject to factors at hiring.
- Eligible for discretionary bonuses and benefits including health, dental, wellness plans.
