Junior Platform Specialist

About the role

Join Squarepoint as a Junior Platform Specialist to develop and maintain automated platform infrastructure using DevOps practices. Work with stakeholders to design, monitor, and automate platform solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated platform solutions and services across the firm.
• Design and monitor platform infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on platform projects.
• Apply DevOps methodology to deliver mission-critical infrastructure.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Up to 4 years experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
• Proficient in Python, git, Bash, and Linux environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Gitlab, Artifactory, or Docker software development tools.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Knowledge of HPC and orchestration technologies such as Slurm or Kubernetes.
• Experience with databases and observability systems like Elasticsearch, Datadog, Prometheus, PostgreSQL.
