About the role

Full-time, paid Winter 2027 internship within Scotiabank Wealth Management. Interns gain hands-on experience across finance, reporting, planning, forecasting, credit structuring, portfolio solutions, and financial planning teams while supporting business analysis, client inquiries, special projects, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial statement preparation for appropriate reporting periods.
• Gather, analyse, and present financial data for monthly and quarterly results.
• Support reporting, planning, and forecasting activities.
• Respond courteously to internal and external client account transfer inquiries.
• Complete transfer-related activities efficiently and participate in assigned special projects or analyses.
• Escalate problem items and contribute ideas to process reviews and improvements.

Program Experience

• Full-time work term with scheduled hours of 37.5 hours per week.
• Receive in-depth role training, ongoing coaching, and feedback.
• Attend bank-wide orientation and exclusive student events, including leadership panels and Lunch & Learns.
• Build networks and gain exposure to senior leadership across the organization.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
• Experience in finance, accounting, or economics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated, independent, innovative, and results-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to lead high-volume, time-sensitive projects; extracurricular involvement is valued.
