About the role

ScotiaMcLeod is seeking a post-secondary intern in Victoria, BC, for a January–April 2027 work term. The role provides hands-on exposure to full-service wealth management, supporting advisors with client administration, business development, presentations, prospecting, special projects, and relationship-building activities.

Responsibilities

• Process client requests, open accounts, maintain client information, complete follow-ups, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Liaise with internal business areas to help remediate client issues and move assigned deliverables forward.
• Prepare meeting agendas, professional checklists, presentations, communication materials, and client events.
• Maintain prospect databases and profiles, identify prospective relationships, and support marketing and presentation materials.
• Provide strong customer service while learning relevant policies, processes, products, and services.
• Support special projects, initiatives, idea generation, team meetings, and other assigned business activities.

Learning and Networking

• Participate in monthly sessions to learn and network across Scotia Wealth Management business lines.
• Attend bi-weekly team meetings covering strategic updates and collaborate with business partners.
• Receive bank-wide orientation and exposure to senior leadership across the organization.
• Gain exposure to multiple teams within Scotia Wealth Management and the full-service wealth-management business.
