About the role
This internship supports Scotiabank’s Global Transaction Banking portfolio optimization work in Toronto from January to April 2027. You’ll analyze revenues, balances, pricing, profitability, client behavior, and portfolio performance, while building models, dashboards, forecasts, and business cases with pricing, finance, and analytics partners.
About the Role
- Support Global Transaction Banking’s Canadian business payments portfolio by identifying revenue opportunities, product gaps, and cross-product synergies.
- Analyze client behavior, product usage, portfolio performance, and competitive benchmarks to inform optimization discussions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze revenues, deposits, pricing outcomes, profitability metrics, balances, margins, and economic value drivers.
- Prepare data, maintain models, and build dashboards tracking portfolio KPIs, including revenue, volumes, balances, and margins.
- Support pricing reviews, profitability assessments, scenario analysis, business cases, forecasting, and planning activities.
- Compile analysis, assumptions, financial summaries, performance reports, and materials for portfolio owners and management discussions.
- Research customer needs, market trends, internal performance, and product gaps to identify optimization opportunities.
- Apply the Bank’s risk appetite, values, conduct requirements, and applicable compliance, AML/ATF, sanctions, and operational controls.
Program and Application
- Work term runs January through April 2027, with 37.5 hours scheduled weekly.
- Receive in-depth role training, ongoing coaching and feedback, bank-wide orientation, and access to student events and leadership panels.
