About the role
Join Scotiabank’s Global Transaction Banking Business Product team in Toronto for a January–April 2027 internship/co-op. Support Canadian deposit products through profitability, market and policy analysis, customer-experience improvements, process enhancements, technology initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration serving small-business, commercial, and corporate clients.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to business-line strategy through profitability, market-trend, policy, and end-to-end process analysis.
- Support daily activities for the Canadian deposit product team.
- Collaborate with Sales, Business Support Centre, Technology, and Product Labs on initiatives and enhancements.
- Recommend improvements to customer experience, product pricing, services, and processes.
- Support projects, business-requirement reviews, and technology initiatives.
- Maintain effective risk controls and ensure processes meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and comfort conducting financial analysis and business cases.
- Analytical ability to deliver timely, actionable recommendations.
- Ability to assess competitive product landscapes and recommend ways to address gaps.
- Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Adaptable self-starter able to work independently and within a team environment.
