GBM - Client Insights & Analytics Internship/Co-op - Fall 2027 (12 Months)

About the role

Twelve-month Client Insights and Analytics internship within Scotiabank’s Global Banking and Markets COO office in Toronto. The role supports reporting, data analytics, data engineering, client opportunity identification, CRM adoption, business relationship management, and ad hoc projects across corporate banking, investment banking, capital markets, and payments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with report engineering, data analytics, data engineering, and business relationship management.
• Work with relationship managers across corporate banking, investment banking, capital markets, and payments.
• Use internal and external client data to identify business opportunities.
• Support CRM adoption, change management, and system enhancements.
• Attend program meetings and coordinate required organization and follow-up.
• Complete ad hoc projects and tasks as required.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
• Interest in or knowledge of capital markets and wholesale banking.
• Experience contributing to a major team project or initiative.
• Comfort working with ambiguity in a matrix-based environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Advanced Excel experience and programming experience with Python or C++.
