About the role

Winter 2027 strategy and projects internship in Scotiabank’s Canadian Banking business. The intern supports strategy development, research, analysis, KPI tracking, stakeholder collaboration, impact assessments, and executive updates. This Toronto-based, paid work term runs January through April 2027 and includes training, coaching, student events, and exposure to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategy development and advisory work through research, analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve deliverables and business objectives.
  • Track initiatives, establish KPI reporting, organize information, and identify actionable insights.
  • Provide program performance updates to stakeholders and executives.
  • Complete impact and gap analyses by consolidating input from business partners.
  • Create presentation decks supporting proposals using predetermined guidelines.

Candidate Profile

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Analytical, self-motivated, achievement-oriented, and attentive to detail.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking and results-focused skills.

Program Experience

  • Receive in-depth role training, ongoing coaching, and feedback.
  • Participate in student events, including Scotia Student Day, Lunch & Learns, and leadership panels.
  • Complete bank-wide orientation and gain exposure to senior leadership.
  • Work within a diverse, collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team.
