About the role

Eight-month Toronto internship supporting Scotiabank Commercial Banking’s National Office. You will contribute to strategy, transformation, business operations, process improvement, and project delivery while collaborating across teams, developing analytical and communication skills, and gaining early exposure to Commercial Banking.

Role and team

• Support Commercial Banking’s strategic and operational priorities through initiatives, transformation, project execution, and collaboration.
• Placement depends on your interests, capabilities, business needs, and available opportunities.
• Work in Toronto for 37.5 hours per week from January through August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support initiatives through research, analysis, project coordination, presentations, and project plans.
• Synthesize information, identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and support informed decisions.
• Review and improve processes supporting operational efficiency, business performance, and client experience.
• Track project activities, milestones, risks, and deliverables to support effective execution.
• Collaborate with Commercial Banking and broader Bank partners, communicating findings and recommendations clearly.
• Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
