About the role

Winter 2027 internship supporting Global Transaction Banking strategy within Scotiabank’s Commercial Banking Aspire Program. The role offers hands-on experience in strategic initiatives, business planning, performance analysis, process improvement, reporting, and cross-functional projects while developing analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic initiatives through research, analysis, project coordination, and implementation.
• Analyze business performance, metrics, and trends to identify opportunities and develop recommendations.
• Support business planning, performance reporting, leadership presentations, and stakeholder communications.
• Review processes and operating models, contributing ideas that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate across Global Transaction Banking and Commercial Banking on client-focused business outcomes.
• Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities and decisions.

Team context

• Global Transaction Banking provides cash management, payments, liquidity, trade, and working capital solutions.
• The team supports commercial and corporate clients with cash flow, operational risk, and cross-border business needs.
• The role provides early exposure to Commercial Banking and opportunities to learn from experienced professionals.
