Velocity - DevOps Engineer- Capital Markets Internship/Co-op 12-16 Months - Winter 2027

About the role

DevOps internship with Scotiabank’s Capital Markets Technology team in Toronto, running Winter 2027 through April 2028. The role supports software delivery through workflow automation, performance monitoring, code deployment, and reliable infrastructure improvements. Students also join an Innovation Pod, gaining hands-on engineering experience, mentorship, and exposure to capital-markets technology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support smooth, efficient software product delivery.
• Automate workflows and continuously monitor application performance.
• Deploy code efficiently across short delivery cycles.
• Maintain and improve scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure.
• Collaborate with teams to identify and resolve technical issues.

Program Experience

• Participate in the Innovation Pod, where cross-functional teams prototype products addressing real business challenges.
• Use the scale, data, and technology of a major bank to develop working prototypes.
• Receive mentorship from senior technical leaders and participate in monthly executive AMAs.
• Explore modern engineering tools and platforms within a capital-markets technology environment.
