Velocity - Cloud Engineer Internship/Co-op - Fall 2026
Join Scotiabank's Velocity Program as a Cloud Engineer Intern from September to December 2026. Gain hands-on experience developing and maintaining cloud platforms, collaborating with teams, and learning enterprise cloud technologies in a supportive environment.

Role Responsibilities
- Support development and maintenance of cloud platforms and services.
- Assist in implementing and refactoring code to meet security and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to scope and estimate tasks.
- Support application teams onboarding onto cloud platforms.
- Participate in planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

Candidate Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Engineering, or related program.
- Foundational understanding of cloud or infrastructure concepts.
- Experience with programming or scripting from coursework or projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with development or scripting languages (Go, Python, Shell).
- Understanding of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
