GBM - Trade Floor Technology Consultant Internship/Co-op - Summer 2027

About the role

This 12- or 16-month internship/co-op supports technology on Scotiabank’s Global Banking & Markets trade floor in Toronto. You will troubleshoot technical issues, configure devices, implement trading technologies, contribute to data and analytics projects, and potentially develop internal web tools while gaining capital-markets exposure through training and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical issues and resolve, escalate, or redirect them to appropriate support channels.
• Implement trading technologies, including Bloomberg, to improve trade floor capabilities.
• Configure and support laptops, iPhones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
• Contribute to technology initiatives, data analysis, and analytics projects.
• Potentially develop internal web-based tools to optimize trade floor processes.

Team and Development

• Join the Global Banking & Markets Trade Floor Support & Automation team.
• Gain exposure to capital markets and related technology through practical work experience.
• Receive in-depth role training, ongoing coaching, and feedback.
• Participate in student events, leadership panels, orientation, and trade floor tours.
