ASPIRE Commercial Banking - Global Transaction Banking Sales - Winter 2027 Co-op/Internship Calgary

About the role

Eight-month Calgary internship within Scotiabank’s Commercial Banking Aspire Program, supporting Global Transaction Banking sales. The role provides hands-on exposure to client relationships, cash management, payments, liquidity, trade, and working capital solutions while developing sales, analytical, communication, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather client and market insights, conduct research, and identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
• Support pipeline management, portfolio reviews, sales reporting, presentations, and client-facing materials.
• Analyze client activity, portfolio trends, and performance metrics to develop opportunities and recommendations.
• Contribute to initiatives improving sales effectiveness, client engagement, and team performance.
• Collaborate across Commercial Banking and Global Transaction Banking to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities and decisions.

Team

• Global Transaction Banking provides cash management, payments, liquidity, trade, and working capital solutions.
• The team helps commercial and corporate clients optimize cash flow and support domestic and cross-border activity.
• The role involves learning from experienced professionals and gaining early exposure to Commercial Banking.
