About the role
Paid Winter 2027 Corporate Security internship/co-op in Toronto, running January through April 2027 for 37.5 hours weekly. Students may gain exposure to digital forensics, security operations, insider-risk intelligence, loss prevention, and judicial document services, with training, coaching, networking, and potential future placements.
Potential Work Areas
- Support security and safety objectives by helping mitigate internal and external threats to staff, customers, assets, and reputation.
- Assist with critical incident management and responses to physical-security incidents affecting people, facilities, operations, or reputation.
- Contribute to insider-risk, privacy, intelligence, loss-prevention, incident analysis, and Corporate Security program insights.
- Help process third-party information requests, ensuring documentation meets request criteria, privacy requirements, confidentiality standards, and bank guidelines.
Program Experience
- Receive in-depth role training, ongoing coaching, and feedback to support successful performance.
- Attend student events, including Scotia Student Day, Lunch & Learns, and leadership panels.
- Complete bank-wide orientation and gain exposure to senior leadership across the organization.
- Work with an agile team and learn systems and procedures protecting the bank and its customers.
