About the role

Join Scotiabank’s Commercial Aspire Program in Saskatoon for a January–August 2027 co-op/internship supporting Agriculture Banking. Gain hands-on experience in client research, financial analysis, credit activities, industry assessment, and financing decisions while learning about Canadian farms, producers, processors, and agribusinesses alongside experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Support relationship teams with client research, financial analysis, and credit-related activities.
  • Analyze companies, industries, agricultural operations, and trends affecting clients’ financial performance.
  • Help assess financing needs, risk considerations, and opportunities for agricultural and agribusiness clients.
  • Collaborate with Agriculture Banking partners and contribute to a client-focused risk culture.

Development Opportunities

  • Gain early exposure to Agriculture Banking through meaningful assignments and guidance from experienced professionals.
  • Build knowledge of agricultural operations, industry trends, credit, financial analysis, and business decision-making.
  • Strengthen analytical, communication, presentation, collaboration, and professional judgment skills.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good presentation skills.
  • Be organized, analytical, client-centric, collaborative, flexible, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Show curiosity about agriculture, agribusiness, Commercial Banking, and clients’ financial performance.
  • Work effectively in a structured, fast-paced, team-oriented environment with guidance and deadlines.
