Global Banking and Markets - Equity Research Intern/Co-op - Winter 2027

About the role

A Winter 2027 Equity Research internship in Scotiabank’s Global Capital Markets group, supporting analysts with financial analysis, company and industry research, modelling, presentations, and AI adoption projects. The four-month Toronto work term is designed for undergraduate, MBA, or master’s students seeking practical exposure to investment research and financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain financial models, spreadsheets, industry databases, tables, and graphs.
• Conduct primary research using industry and financial sources.
• Assist analysts with company and industry analysis, valuations, and market comparisons.
• Prepare company and industry write-ups for research publications.
• Develop marketing presentations using PowerPoint.
• Participate in AI adoption projects within Equity Research.

Program Experience

• Gain hands-on experience supporting Equity Research Analysts within Global Capital Markets.
• Build understanding of financial markets, stock-price drivers, and company valuations.
• Receive in-depth training, ongoing coaching, and feedback throughout the work term.
• Attend student events, leadership panels, Lunch & Learns, and bank-wide orientation.
