About the role

New graduate opportunity in Scotiabank’s Global Banking and Markets Client Insights and Analytics team in Toronto. The role analyzes financial and client data, develops actionable reporting insights, supports data-quality improvements, and partners with business, finance, and technology teams in a fast-paced capital-markets environment.

Role Context

• Client Insights and Analytics operates within the Global Banking and Markets Chief Operating Officer’s office.
• The team supports business strategy execution through reporting, analytics, client insights, and opportunity identification.
• The role involves collaboration with business, finance, and technology partners across reporting and data initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and client data to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and actionable stakeholder insights.
• Gather business requirements, support user acceptance testing, validate results, and assist reporting platform enhancements.
• Investigate data-quality and reporting issues, identify root causes, document findings, and coordinate resolutions.
• Develop process improvements for data management, reconciliations, recurring data preparation, validation, and reporting activities.
• Communicate findings, data limitations, risks, and recommended actions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive data and reporting inquiries in a capital-markets environment.
