About the role
Join Scotiabank’s Canadian Banking Technology & Analysis team in Toronto for a January–April 2027 internship/co-op. You will collect and analyze data, develop business cases, build models using SQL, Python, and Power BI, and recommend improvements to strategic initiatives and processes. The role includes training, coaching, and student development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Identify data needs and manage data collection proactively.
- Gather business and data requirements to define problems, opportunities, and potential solutions.
- Apply analytical frameworks to prepare, combine, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Assess risks, draw conclusions, and develop actionable organizational recommendations.
- Build and present data-driven business cases supporting strategic initiatives.
- Use SQL, Python, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint to develop models and reports.
Program Experience
- Complete a January–April 2027 work term in Toronto, working 37.5 hours weekly.
- Receive in-depth role training, ongoing coaching, and performance feedback.
- Participate in student events, including Scotia Student Day, Lunch & Learns, and leadership panels.
- Attend bank-wide orientation and gain exposure to senior leadership.
