Velocity - Real Estate, Global Workplace Governance Internship/Co-op - Winter 2027

About the role

Winter 2027 Velocity internship/co-op supporting Scotiabank’s Global Real Estate and Corporate Services team in Toronto. The role focuses on workplace standards, governance, project coordination, reporting, research, and stakeholder support. Students gain training, coaching, networking, and exposure to workplace strategy, design, employee experience, and corporate real estate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace standards, guidelines, templates, and governance tools.
• Track feedback, proposed updates, decisions, exceptions, and action items.
• Research workplace trends, design innovation, sustainability, employee experience, and industry practices.
• Maintain schedules, project documentation, risk trackers, action logs, and status updates.
• Assist with dashboards, presentations, business cases, briefing materials, and executive updates.
• Coordinate stakeholders, meetings, notes, follow-ups, deliverables, and risk escalation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in architecture, interior design, corporate real estate, business, project management, data analytics, communications, or related studies.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and professional written and visual materials.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, take initiative, and collaborate effectively.
• Interest in workplace strategy, design, governance, employee experience, or corporate real estate.

Assets

• Experience with Power BI, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or visualization tools.
• French or Spanish language capability.
• Participation in conferences, clubs, competitions, or hackathons.
