About the role

This paid Winter 2027 co-op internship supports Scotiabank’s Wealth Management team through business requirements, data investigation, statistical analysis, reporting, dashboards, and process improvement. You will translate large datasets into actionable recommendations, communicate KPIs, support strategic decisions, and receive training, coaching, orientation, and student-program opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Define business requirements and processes with internal teams and partners, measuring project progress, success, and business impact.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards incorporating trend analysis, projections, forecasts, and statistical modelling for strategic decisions.
  • Investigate data sources, transform data, and determine appropriate interpretations for analysis.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to create diagrams, flowcharts, and supporting documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements while communicating findings and key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus project management and coordination abilities.
  • Experience managing processes, facilitating teamwork, and coordinating multiple deliverables.
  • Ability to consolidate substantial information into actionable recommendations using sound analytical judgment.
  • Experience cleaning, transforming, and visualizing large datasets across varied data formats.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, SQL, DB2, MySQL, Python, R, or similar tools.

Program Details

  • Winter 2027 work term runs from January through April 2027.
  • The schedule is 37.5 hours per week.
